CODE OF CONDUCT FOR VOLUNTEER DRIVERS

THE LAW REQUIRES:- that all Volunteer drivers hold a full driving licence and that is appropriate to the vehicle being driven.

The maximum age for any driver is governed only by the drivers ability to maintain health and capability requirements of the DVLA for vocational driving. Volunteer drivers must provided a car that is in a clean and suitable condition for the carriage of passengers with front and rear seats.

Volunteer Drivers must hold a current Driving Licence, MOT certificate and valid insurance.  At interview, these will be inspected and copied for our records and updated annually as required.  Drivers are advised to contact their Insurance Company of the type of work being undertaken.  This will not normally result in a premium increase
